Yippe yippee yahoo! It’s FINALLY Halloweekend! So listen up kiddos — spooky season is HERE, and it  just got a glow-up that’s gonna make that Spirit Halloween Party down in Tuscon look like Mario Kart Baby Park. We got something major in our Hot Topic storefront this season - all coming straight out the Y2K vault right to our doorsteps for trick-or-treats and smell my feets. On Friday, October 31st, we’re flipping the switch here in Fort Collins to make Colorado a hotspot for the It’s A 2000s Halloween Party, guaranteed to hit harder than when your friend’s first brought the Iphone Gen 1 to school in 6th grade. We’re talking a one night ravre, all the throwback anthems and Black Eyed Peas we can handle, all the die hard halloween fits from Shrek to the Geico Gecko, and all the chaos that made the early 2000s the most iconic era ever for those who loved Apple-Bottoms and Hurricane Chris. 

Our perfect Halloweekend night 1? Step 1 - the DJ drops “Yeah!” and the whole room screams LIL JONNNN like it’s 2004. Two : Missy Elliott’s Work It comes on, right before Nelly brings the heat with Hot in Here, then we get a little toxic with Britney, and Outkast Hey Ya! blasting through the speakers while the crowd goes full-on 106 & Park meets TRL. One second you’re shouting emo lyrics to Paramore and My Chemical Romance, the next we’re moondancing with Chris Brown, then body-rolling when Ciara’s Goodies - whatever that means. The energy we’re conjuring up for the night? Well… spooky of courst. Fog so thick it feels like a Dipset video or a 2009 Diplo DJ set. Strobe lights hitting like you’re in the In Da Club video with 50 Cent, and nothing but early 2000s visuals to teleport you back to when MTV still mattered. So come fitted up like Souja Boy is watching - but whatever you rock, just make sure it screams 2000s nostalgia with you and a Paper Plane made by MIA herself.
