Two Colorado-based bands are headlining A SKA-Liday Show on the 11th of December, 2025, for one night of ska music being shared and enjoyed. The Swashbuckling Doctors and 12 Cents For Marvin are more than ready to take their instruments out and hype up the crowd with their music that’s made to be danced to by large audiences. This concert is going to be friendly for all ages and might just turn out to be that one big holiday party you’re looking forward to having!
As the Colorado Sound Music Awards 2024’s cowinners of the Outstanding Stage Presence Award, ska band The Swashbuckling Doctors has been preparing for their last show of the year like it’s their biggest one yet. The band mixes storytelling with really pumped up beats, but nothing compares to the feeling of performing for a live audience. As their lead singer Scott Slusher describes it, “...it is non-stop activity from the first beat to the last. I feel like I don’t give a good show until I am just drenched in sweat at the end of it,” You just know the “Ol Docs” will be giving the crowd a good time on this night!
Meanwhile, the eight-member group 12 Cents for Marvin has come a long way since being formed by college students at Colorado State University. The group’s unusual name has become a reflection of not only its very unique background story but also its distinctive and eccentric sound. Three decades since they became a band, the members continue to entertain with their impressive instrumental skills.
Joining the two ska bands is Denver’s very own All Waffle Trick, a trio known for their songs of youthful themes and solid party anthems, as well as DJ Tara 2 Tone to make sure everyone gets a well-rounded night of music. One thing is for sure: it’s going to be a party!
The Aggie Theatre is a beloved century-old music hall, known as an event setting where people can dance to enjoy music shows, and features a full bar. It’s expected to be full on Thursday, 11th December 2025, as the four musical acts join their instruments and pieces to celebrate the Ska-lidays.
